As the library serves as the purveyor of our community’s culture, the foundation will carefully curate a year-round range of free cultural events with a variety of today’s brightest minds that engages all demographics in critical civic engagement. It is vital that we embrace our urban heritage and preserve places that are important to our community in order to seamlessly blend the past with the future.

The Library Foundation of Santa Monica is comprised of community leaders in the fields of technology, science, entertainment, business and the arts as well as civic leaders. We celebrate and believe in creating a public space that stimulates intellectual curiosity and promotes strong and optimal community wellbeing through lifelong learning.
